Chinese diver Lin Jin retained his title of the men's 1 meter springboard at the Kazan Universiade in Kazan, Russia on Monday.

Lin, who won two gold medals at Shenzhen Universiade two years ago, continued his momentum this year as he ranked second in yesterday's men's 3m springboard and asserted his dominance again in today's event.

Lin took the first place after the second round and never looked back, collecting 429.05 points in total to claim the title. However he was not satisfied with his performance.

"Today I had some mistakes in two dives, in which I should have performed better, so I felt pity though I won," Lin said.

The 25-year-old said that he will be preparing for the Chinese National Games to be held in northeast China's Liaoning province this September.

Another Chinese diver Qin Tian was second in 417.85, while Russia's Evgenii Novoselov came third in 401.05.
