South Korea's Asiana Airlines has published a letter of apology in several Chinese newspapers to express regret and sympathy to the Chinese people and government.
The letter appears in the People's Daily, Global Times, Beijing Youth Daily, Zhejiang Daily and several others. It says the airline, together with all its staff, extends deep apologies to Chinese victims and their families. The company also pledges to help those injured make a full recovery as soon as possible.
Asiana says it will spare no efforts to win back Chinese people's trust, and take practical measures to prevent similar accidents. The letter is signed by Kumho Asiana Group Chairman Park Sam-Koo, and President Yoon Young-Doo.
