Speculation is high that NSA whistleblower, Edward Snowden, may be on his way from Moscow to the Cuban capital, Havana.
Russian media cite an article in the Washington Post that Flight SU150 had deviated from its usual route Thursday to avoid US airspace. It raises suspicions one of the possible reasons for the detour is that the flight is carrying Snowden. The article also suggests it's possible the plane detoured for meteorological rather than political reasons.
Snowden has been stuck in Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport for more than two weeks. Three Latin American countries, Venezuela, Bolivia and Nicaragua have offered him asylum. And it's unclear which country Snowden may have picked.
