Two traffic policewomen in North China's Hebei Province were fired after they were caught on camera fighting in the middle of an intersection on July 8, the Beijing Times reported.
The shocking viral video shows two women exchanging blows near a Tangshan department store amid traffic they were supposed to be policing. Eventually a third officer in similar uniform appears soon after to break up the duo.
The fight broke out over "personal reasons," the paper reports.
The Tangshan Public Security Bureau confirmed that the two women had been fired on its official micro blog on July 15.
City traffic police officials explained the two women were recruited last summer as traffic management assistants to help in directing traffic and guiding pedestrians, according to the paper.
Both women had received training and passed all required examinations, said officials.
