More rain is expected to hit large areas of China. According to China Meteorological Administration, provinces of Gansu, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Henan and Guangdong will see heavy or torrential rain for 24 hours from Wednesday morning with some parts of these provinces to be hit by 100 to 200 millimetres' rain.

The administration says, the precipitation in Sichuan will reach the highest amount in this round of rainfall. A total of 58 people have been killed and 175 others are missing due to rainstorm-triggered floods and a landslide last week in Sichuan.

Nearly 3.47 million people have been affected and 300,000 people have been relocated. Relief supplies including tents, quilts, clothes and food have been sent to the affected areas, while there are warnings of more natural disasters such as landslides and floods.
