Tianjin women's volleyball team crowned national champions

Tianjin's women's volleyball team were crowned the national champions for the third time after defeating hosts Liaoning 3-1 Saturday night in the volleyball final at the 12th National Games of China.

Tianjin, who won gold in women's volleyball in the 2005 and 2009 National Games, beat Liaoning 21-25, 25-13, 28-26, 25-17 to retain their title.

"I'm very proud of my team. They are not the best players in terms of physical conditions. Their fight spirit is the key to success," said Wang Baoquan, head coach of the Tianjin team.
