China's Si Yajie won the gold medal in women's 10-meter platform on Thursday at the Barcelona's World Championships.
The 14-year-old diver scored a total of 392.15 points winning gold, followed by her compatriot Chen Roulin, who scored 388.7 points and took silver medal. Meanwhile, Ukraina's Iuliia Prokopchuk took bronze scoring 358.4 points.
Si has been diver since she was seven and has competed on the Grand Prix circuit since 2011, while Chen, who has four medals at the Olympic Games, won on Monday the 10-meter synchronized with Liu Huixia.
This is the sixth gold for China in diving at the Piscines de Montjuic in Barcelona and it is expected to take another one on Friday as Qin Kai and He Chong are favorites to finish first in the men's 3-meter springboard.
China has won all diving competitions in Barcelona, except that of men's 10-meter synchronized whose champions were Patrick Hausding and Sascha Klein from Germany.
Diving competition is being held at the Piscines de Montjuic which was built for 1992 Olympic Games. A total of 252 divers are competing in the 15th FINA World Championships that will finish on August 4.
