China's Qiu Bo won gold medal on Sunday in men's 10-meter platform at the Piscines de Montjuic in which was the last day of diving at the 15th FINA World Championships being held in Barcelona.
Qiu scored a total of 581 points, followed by the gold medallist David Boudia from the United States who scored a total of 517.40. Germany's Sascha Klein, who had won bronze in Shanghai 2011, finished third scoring 508.55 points.
This was the second world title for Qiu, who gave China its ninth gold medal in 10 diving events held at the Worlds in Barcelona. Qiu had won silver medal at the Olympic Games in London, just behind Boudia.
The Chinese divers did not win men's 10-meter synchronized springboard whose champions were Germany's Patrick Hausding and Sascha Klein, but the country won gold medal in the rest of diving events.
Diving events took place at the Piscines de Montjuic, where the audience can gaze down the whole city of Barcelona. A total of 252 divers competed in Montjuic from July 20 to 27. The 15th FINA World Championships will finish on August 4.
