A truck with two people aboard fell into a river and went missing after part of a bridge deck in Tibet collapsed early Saturday, local authorities said.
The accident occurred at about 1:50 a.m. on the Tongmai suspension bridge on the Sichuan-Tibet highway in Bomi county, disrupting traffic on the major road in the southwestern autonomous region, the Nyingchi prefecture government said in a statement.
The bridge is 258 meters long and 31.5 meters high.
