One dead, 10 missing in east China boat accident

One person has died and ten others are missing after a fishing boat capsized in sea waters off the coast of Qingdao City of east China's Shandong Province on Saturday morning, local authorities said.

The accident happened at about 8:25 a.m. in waters 12 nautical miles southwest of the Chaolian Island of Qingdao, according to the provincial maritime affairs bureau.

Some 20 boats, two planes and two warships are searching for the missing.
