Rescuers have retrieved two bodies and are still searching nine others who went missing after their fishing vessel capsized in sea waters off east China's Shandong Province on Saturday morning, local authorities said.
The boat, "Luchengyu60326", turned upside down at about 8:25 a.m. Saturday in waters 12 nautical miles southwest of the Chaolian Island of Qingdao, according to the provincial maritime bureau.
As of 10 p.m. Saturday, rescuers recovered two bodies with the remaining nine fishermen missing, said rescuers.
The city government of Qingdao has mobilized 14 fishing vessels, two rescue helicopters, two military vessels and four maritime enforcement ships for the rescue.
