Owner to tear villa down

Zhang Biqing, owner of the illegally-built "villa" on top of an apartment building in Beijing, said he already has a detailed plan to tear down the construction and will apologize to his neighbors when he returns to Beijing.

Zhang, who is reportedly the founder of Qijing Tang, a chain health care institute which has been under investigation for its medical practice qualification, said on Wednesday that he no longer has any connection to the facility where he used to provide "technical consultation," adding that it is not a clinic which requires a medical license.

He also denied the comparison drawn by the public between him and self-proclaimed qigong master Wang Lin.
