Hong Kong raised the Outbound Travel Alert for Egypt to black as the situation in the country continues to deteriorate, the city's government news website said here on Thursday.
A government spokesman said that Hong Kong residents are urged to avoid all travel to the country, and those already there should attend to their personal safety and avoid protests and large gatherings of people.
Hong Kong's Security Bureau will continue to monitor the situation there.
