A woman in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province was praised online for her daily routine of standing outside in the summer heat for an hour to save a parking space for her son.
A Weibo user surnamed Yin first posted about the woman after spotting her while parking his car, reported local news portal edu.zjol.com.cn on August 13.
"She kept a wet towel around her shoulders to beat the sweltering heat. It's really touching to see such a caring mother," wrote Yin through his Weibo account.
The woman told Yin every morning she rides to Linping street to save a parking space for her son, who works in a nearby school and often complains how difficult it is to find a spot.
"I really hope the Hangzhou government addresses the lack of parking spaces as soon as possible," he added.
Some netizens expressed appreciation for the caring mother while others criticized the son for letting his mother stand outside for so long.
