The second qualifying of World's Strongest Man 2013 was held in Sanya, a coastal resort city of South China's Hainan province, on Sunday.
During the second qualifying, athletes participated in such events as viking press, squat lift and overhead lift, attracting many tourists at the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone in Sanya where the qualifying was held. Many tourists felt amazed at the athletes' performance of strength.
The athletes will compete in the following matching events, such as keg toss, Astra boulders, yacht pulling and car lifting.
Created in 1977, the World's Strongest Man has become the premier event in strength athletics. It has been held annually since 1997 and was first held in Sanya in 2006.
