Olympic Council of Asia Executive Board member Natalya Sipovich believes Nanjing is more than ready to host the Youth Olympic Games this time next year.
"I think they are ready to hold the Olympic Games," she said after Sunday evening's judo competition.
"I have visited the weightlifting, the diving and the judo venues in the first two days and I have to say I am very impressed with everything.
"The competitions are well organized, there are a lot of spectators, especially young people and children, and there is a very nice atmosphere.
"Another important factor is that the view for the spectators is excellent. All in all I would say the venues are very beautiful, very comfortable and very modern, with bright lighting and big competition halls."
Sipovich, who is Chair of the OCA Women and Sport Committee, witnessed two categories of judo finals on Sunday evening: girls' 44-52kg and boys' 55-66kg.
The two Koreas split the gold medals, with Kim Jina of DPR Korea winning the girls' event and Ko Jaekyoung of South Korea taking the boys' title.
