With China out of sight at the top of the medals table of the 2nd Asian Youth Games, the only question now is: Can the host nation end the Games with 100 medals?

Going into the last day of medal competition on Friday, China has won 44 gold medals, 22 silver and 22 bronze for a total of 88 - just 12 short of the magical century mark.

South Korea is in second place with 19 gold medals, 10 silver and 14 bronze for 43, followed by Japan in third place with seven gold, five silver and five bronze for 17.

Thailand is in fourth place with six gold, supported by an impressive 15 silver and 13 bronze for a total of 34 - the third highest in total medals.

China has won 44 of the 108 gold medals handed out, leaving 14 events still to be decided on Friday - the last day of competition before the closing ceremony on Saturday night.
