Chinese, Argentine vice presidents hold talks

Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao held talks with his Argentine counterpart Amado Boudou in Beijing on Friday.

Li said bilateral relations have witnessed sustained and deep development since China and Argentina established diplomatic ties 41 years ago.

China and Argentina should strengthen political and strategic mutual trust, deepen cooperation in trade, investment, finance, energy, agriculture and infrastructure construction so as to advance the bilateral strategic relationship, Li said.

Boudou said his country attaches great importance to its relations with China and is willing to work with China to achieve more fruitful cooperation in various sectors.

Boudou, also president of the senate, is in China on a four-day official visit. Li held a welcoming ceremony for Boudou at the Great Hall of the People before the talks.
