The Baking Arts Gallery in the capital allows visitors to see some exquisite works of edible art on display, and also learn from the chefs how to make them for themselves.

Creativities fill the air of the baking arts gallery. White castles, cartoon characters, fairy maidens...all come to life through the hands of the pastry chefs. Visitors say it's like a wonderland here:

The gallery spans an area of over 2,500 square meters and was founded by master chef Cao Jitong. Having been in the business for 3 decades, he is one of most celebrated pastry chef in China.
"Baking is not only a skill it's also an art that I want to share with more people. This gallery is like a summary of my career in this business. I hope it will become a platform for baking enthusiasts to communicate," Cao said.
