Most areas in southwest China's Yunnan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will see heavy rain in the coming three days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) forecast on Wednesday.
Some parts of the regions will receive precipitation of 50 to 90 mm, the center said.
Meanwhile, a cold front will bring rainfall to parts of the north, with precipitation of 15 to 40 mm, the center added.
The NMC warned local authorities to be on high alert for possible geological disasters.
