A foreign female tourist injured her leg when climbing the Panlongshan section of the Great Wall in Gubeikou township on September 8. About two hours later, she was rescued by the Taishitun firefighting crew of Miyun county, the Beijing Evening News reported.
The firefighters assembled police officers, nearby villagers and medical staff to form a rescue team. The woman was found on top of the mountain, and safely transported down the mountain. Panlongshan Great Wall is famous for its dangerously steep staircases.
