Court begins announcing verdict on Bo Xilai case

The Jinan Intermediate People's Court started Sunday to announce the verdict on the case of Bo Xilai, who was accused of bribery, embezzlement and abuse of power.

The court session started at 10:05 a.m. Presiding Judge Wang Xuguang is announcing the judgment.

Bo, 64, was former secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and a former member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau.

The trial of Bo was held from Aug. 22 to 26 at the court in Jinan, capital of east China's Shandong Province.

 

Court to announce verdict on Bo's case on Sept 22

The Jinan Intermediate People's Court announced Wednesday that it will deliver the verdict on Bo Xilai's case at 10 am on Sept 22.
