Huiyuan group, a leading Beijing-based juice brand in China, denied reports that rotten fruit is being used in its production line in a statement on its website Monday, saying it was untrue.
Huiyuan announced that they take product quality seriously and strict controls go into their purchase and production process. It also said they welcome supervision from the public to ensure consumers' interests.
A report by 21st Century Business Herald said Huiyuan group and two other juice companies, Andeli and Marine, purchased fruits that were rotten or picked before they were ripe.
