The first regular cruise line linking the Chinese mainland and the city of Kaohsiung in Taiwan was launched on Monday.
The weekly line carries passengers between the cities of Xiamen and Kaohsiung, departing from Xiamen at 6 p.m. on Monday and arriving at Kaohsiung around 9 a.m. the next day, according to the cruise line's operator.
Yang Xiaoyan, a passenger from Xiamen, said the line made her trip to south Taiwan more easily.
