Xi receives credentials of 15 new ambassadors

Chinese President Xi Jinpingon Friday received credentials of 15 new ambassadors to China.

The ambassadors are Michael Kinyanjui from Kenya, Mohammad Kabir Farahi from Afghanistan, Stefan Skjaldarson from Iceland, Ralph Thomas from Jamaica, Clifford Borg Marks from Malta, Karl Hood from Grenada, Michael Christian Max Clauss from Germany, Dyomin Oleg from Ukraine, Paul Kavanagh from Ireland, Ringo Abed from Namibia, Magdy Mahmoud Helmy Amer from Egypt, Chynar Rustemova from Turkmenistan, Michel Malherbe from Belgium, Paul Steinmetz from Luxembourg and Jari Gustafsson from Finland.

Xi welcomed the new ambassadors to their posts and recalled the friendly interactions between China and their nations.

He asked the ambassadors to convey his sincere greetings to their leaders and people.

China is pursuing a comprehensive foreign policy and values the friendship and cooperation of all relevant countries, said the Chinese president.

He encouraged the ambassadors to make friends extensively in China and contribute to further enhancement of relations between China and their respective countries.

The ambassadors conveyed greetings from their state leaders to Xi and pledged to make active efforts to promote friendship and cooperation with China during their tenure.
