Daycare for seniors

Ganjiakou community in Haidian district has launched a daytime nursing home for the elderly to provide both medical and social services, Beijing Morning Post reported.

The community health service center is open to the elderly from morning until evening. Senior citizens suffering from chronic diseases can have vital signs tested and recorded daily. If they have any medical complaints, a nurse at the center will accompany them to visit the doctor.

Seniors can also take a noontime nap there and listen to health lectures arranged by the center. They pay 15 yuan for breakfast and lunch.
