A man from Luohe, Central China's Henan Province, arrived in nearby Zhengzhou this week, the first stop of his trip that will see him motorcycle through each of the country's provincial capitals - in a bid to encourage more people to be more "heroic."
Zhao Guozhong, 45, said that he has committed six heroic acts - none of which were reported - over the past 20 years, and encouraged others to also extend a hand to those in need.
Zhao decided to embark on his national tour after he learned news that a young man in Luoyang got drowned after saving two girls at a swimming pool last year, but the girls ran away on themselves.
With a red flag that says "Help others for a just cause" attached to his motorcycle, Zhao is also distributing leaflets to promote his actions along the way.
He expects his trip to take him 70 days at an expense of some 14,000 yuan ($2,297).
