Chinese top political adviser meets Namibian guests

China's top political adviser Yu Zhengsheng met in Beijing on Monday with a Namibian delegation headed by Magreth Mensah-Williams, vice chair of the National Council.

Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), welcomed Mensah to China again. He said the CPPCC and the National Council of Namibia have maintained friendly exchanges that help enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.

Yu expressed the hope that the two sides should further increase contact, step up exchange of experience on building the legal system and economic and social development and carry out cooperation in various forms so as to make fresh contribution the growth of the two countries.

Yu said the people of China and Namibia have forged deep friendship as bilateral relations continued to grow over the past two and more decades. He said China is ready to work with Namibia to advance bilateral relations to new levels.

Mensah expressed appreciation to China for its long-term support of Namibia. She said the two countries share a great potential for cooperation. She expressed the hope that the two sides carry out even more cooperation in the areas of agriculture, animal husbandry and education.
