By the end of 2013, all community hospitals in Beijing will offer free Chinese traditional medicine (TCM) physical exams and health tips for residents above 65; children under three can enjoy two sessions of free TCM treatment service, the Beijing Morning Post reported.
For children, the community hospitals will focus on pediatric physiology and pathogenesis, diet and stimulation of acupoints. Elderly patients can fill out a questionnaire to get tailored health advice on diet and exercise.
