The National Health and Family Planning Commission announced on October 28 that three monitoring sites will be established in Beijing to study the harmful effects of haze on human health. One of the three sites will be set in rural area, and the other two urban areas, the Beijing Times reported.
China will build a monitoring system covering the whole country in three to five years. Human health monitoring will be launched in 16 highly polluted municipalities and cities, with sites dispersed among heavily polluted and less polluted areas.
