A woman surnamed Guo is suing a beauty salon for giving her cosmetics that caused serious facial swelling and itching. She is asking for compensation of more than 40,000 yuan ($6,572), the Beijing Times reported.
Guo said the staff of the beauty salon told her to apply a yellow cream to her face nightly; the next day, she had four red blisters on her forehead, but the salon staff told her it was normal. After two weeks of using the cream, her symptoms became quite serious. After negotiating with the salon, Guo was taken to Air Force General Hospital by salon staffers. Only five months later did she see relief from the symptoms. Haidian Court has accepted the case and it is currently in session.
