Health authorities in Beijing have formed an expert group to provide emergency medical treatment and consultation to the 38 tourists who were injured in the Monday car accident near the Tiananmen rostrum in Beijing.
The accident had killed five people including the driver and a female visitor from the Philippines.
As of Tuesday, five patients have already received operation and 12 remains in ICU due to their critical health condition. The rest 21 people stays hospitalized, according to news portal qianlong.com.
An anonymous staff with the Beijing hospital, one of the several hospitals taking in patients, told the Global Times that a female patient at ICU is still in serious condition.
