Residents near Shanghai airport complain of waste

Residents living under the flight path near Shanghai Pudong International Airport complained about "blue ice" or toilet waste, news portal eastday.com reported.

A resident on Hangwan Road said they often found feces splattered on vehicles and laundry hanging out to dry, and some people were hit by "blue ice".

Officials from the airport said on Sunday that there is no evidence pointing to planes with leaking waste tanks but will investigate and offer compensation if it is proven.
