Police look for black Santana in blast probe

Police are looking for a black Santana car, apparently used by a suspect sought in connection to an explosion in front of Shanxi province's top Party commission, China Business Network reported.

The explosion on Wednesday morning, near the office building of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, killed one person and injured another eight in Taiyuan, the provincial capital.

The police examined a security video taken at the scene on Wednesday morning. The video shows a man getting into the car and driving off after he placed the bomb at around 7 am.

Earlier reports said a bomb disposal team found no other devices at the scene, but the China Business Network report said the police disarmed another device.

There have also been media reports that one suspect had been arrested, but this has not been confirmed by police.
