4 dead, 3 missing after vehicle reservoir fall

Four people were killed and three left missing after a sport utility vehicle veered off a mountain road and plunged 20 meters into a reservoir in central China's Hubei province on Thursday, local officials said.

The accident happened at 12:49 p.m. when the sport utility vehicle carrying eight people tried to avoid an oncoming vehicle on a narrow road in Xuan'en County of Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.

One person was found alive but injured.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
