Beijing is celebrating World Toilet Day on November 19 and city authorities have announced that in 2014 they will build "unisex restrooms" for people who cannot manage on their own, the China Central Television reported.
Statistics show that people need to visit the toilet 6-8 times a day, the equivalent of two years in an average lifetime. The international day of action was created to promote the hygienic use of toilets. Starting next year, Beijing will build a number of unisex restrooms for people who require assistance, e.g. young children or elderly parents.
