31 tram cars introduced

Starting this year, 31 domestically-made tram cars will be put into use on the Western Suburb Line, the Beijing Daily reported.

The low-floor tram cars are only 40 centimeters off the ground, to facilitate accessibility for children, the elderly and the disabled. The tram will hold 300 passengers and run at about 20 kilometers per hour, making it possible to travel from Bagou to Fragrant Hills in 20 minutes.
