Heavy snow is expected to hit northeastern China and a cold front will sweep eastern China, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said on Sunday.
From Sunday evening, central Inner Mongolia, southeastern Heilongjiang Province, and central and eastern Jilin and Liaoning provinces will experience blizzards, and heavy snow will continue through Tuesday, the center said.
Meanwhile, a cold front is expected to sweep eastern China, with temperatures falling by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius in general with strong winds, the NMC said.
Areas in Qinghai and Gansu provinces, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, southwestern Shaanxi Province and the northern part of the Tibet Autonomous Region will see temperatures fall by up to 12 degrees Celsius, the center said.
