The country's largest research network for identifying autism in children and treating it will be established in Shanghai.
According to Fudan University Autism Treatment and Clinical Research Center, it will carry out a project on autism among children aged between 6 and 12 by teaming up with eight universities and medical bodies across the country.
Under the three-year project, about 1,200 biological samples from autistic children will be collected.
The center will also carry out early detection and invention work on children at the age of 18 months.
