For his part, Biden said common interests have kept growing over the past 35 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and bilateral cooperation still enjoys bright prospects, according to a news release from the Chinese government.
The US side is willing to boost trade, expand cooperation on clean energy, and push ahead with BIT negotiations with China, Biden was quoted in the release as saying.
The vice president said the United States welcomes Chinese enterprises' investment and the US government will provide more convenience for them to enter the US market, according to the release.
Biden said the growth of the United States is closely linked to the future of China.
The US side stands ready to work together with the Chinese side to counter global challenges and further advance the development of the new model of major-country relations between the two countries, he added.
