An Xiaoyu, vice-president of Sichuan University, is being investigated over suspected disciplinary violations, the local disciplinary inspection body said.
The news was released on Wednesday on the website of the Communist Party of China Discipline Inspection Commission of Sichuan province.
An, born in 1953, was elected vice-president of Sichuan University in 2009.
His case was related to the construction of a new campus for the university, an insider said, according to a report by 21cbh.com on Wednesday.
