Prosecutors on Thursday approved the arrest of five suspects implicated in a fire that killed 16 people in south China's Guangdong province earlier this month.
The fire broke out in a wholesale agricultural market in Guangming New District of Shenzhen City on Dec 11. An investigation showed the fire was caused by the short circuit of a power line.
The five suspects have already been in police custody since Dec 17.
The case is under further investigation, according to the People's Procuratorate of Bao'an District in Shenzhen.
