Shenhua football club likely to stay

The director of the Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau said that the Shenhua Football Club will likely stay in Shanghai next season, the Xinhua News Agency reported Monday.

The bureau said that it wanted to keep Shenhua in Shanghai and has promised to create a good environment for the development of the soccer club.

Shenhua insiders predicted that the team won't move to Kunming as previously reported.
