Chinese president's envoy to attend Tanzania celebration

Jiang Weixin, Chinese minister of housing and urban-rural development, will attend an upcoming celebration of the 50th anniversary of victory in the Zanzibar Revolution, a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman announced on Wednesday.

At the invitation of the Tanzanian government, Jiang will attend the event in Tanzania on Jan. 12 as the special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Hua Chunying said at a press briefing.
