15-year-old gives birth

A 15-year-old girl gave birth to a boy at her school in Hongkou district Tuesday, a local radio station reported.

The girl experienced stomach cramps during a test and excused herself to go to the washroom. When she didn't return after half an hour, the teacher went looking for her and found she had given birth.

The girl and the baby were sent to a local hospital, where the baby died. The girl was in stable condition Wednesday. Police have begun investigating who impregnated the girl.
