China's are looking in Sochi. In the past two Olympics, China won five out of twelve medals in aerials, including one gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
But this time we wait to see that China has a much stronger squad.
Ladies' world champion Xu Mengtao had been on an astonishing run since the last Olympics and bagging podium finishes in all the eighteen consecutive World Cup events winning eleven of them. the 23-year-old is a favourite for gold.
For the 31-year-old Li Nina, Sochi will be her fourth Olympics. The double Olympic silver medalist took a two-year break after the Vancouver Games, but she's back and ready fro Sochi.
The big men's hope is world champion Qi Guangpu.
"My goal at the 2014 Olympics is trying to make sure the gold medal goes to China. I don't have to win it as long as another Chinese wins. Anyone on our team has the ability and we just need to work hard and do our best," Li says.
"The Olympics is a test of our hard work over the last four years. Every four years, there is only one gold medal up for grabs. So I think it is going to be a very important and difficult to win," Xu says.
