Physicists honored China's top scientific award for 2013
China is honoring its scientists for outstanding achievements in 2013. Two physicists are receiving the top award.
Zhang Cunhao has been working in the fields of chemical kinetics and engineering for more than 40 years, and Cheng Kaijia is a pioneer and key figure in Chinese nuclear weapon development. Both are members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. And after no recipient for three years, the first prize for natural sciences has been finally granted to a research team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It's for their contribution to the field of high-temperature superconducting material. We'll have more on their scientific endeavours and achievements later in our program.
