As part of a larger push for medical "informationization," many Beijing hospitals are now using mobile apps that allow doctors to make their rounds remotely, the Beijing Daily reported.
Doctors can access patients' information and update medical checkup results by using tablet devices, allowing them to make their rounds remotely and at any hour of the day.
Nurses can read doctors' notes by scanning the patients' codes and record vital signs digitally. This technology has been adopted by Peking University Third Hospital and other hospitals to help reduce medical mistakes and accidents.
