A president of a hospital in south China's Fujian province was expelled for law infringement and serious disciplinary violations, provincial authorities said on Wednesday.

Lyu Kaiming, who also served as the vice chairman of the Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in the city of Sanming, was found to have accepted bribes during his tenure as the president of two hospitals in the city.

Provincial disciplinary authorities removed Lyu from his posts and confiscated his illegal gains. He will be transferred to a local judicial organ for his alleged crime.
