'Design Shanghai' 2014 kicks off in February

The "Design Shanghai" 2014 will kick off in the Shanghai Exhibition Center on Monday, showcasing designs from around the world. Over 150 design brands will gather in Shanghai, many of them debuting in China for the first time. It is expected that over 40,000 architects, designers and buyers will attend the exhibition.

With the theme of "East meets West," this event covers everything from contemporary to classic design, and shows the cutting-edge creative work of world famous Western design brands such as Magis, Fritz Hansen and Ginger & Jagger.

"Design Shanghai" 2014 also features a special exhibition displaying the chief sponsor Jaguar's collaboration with the European design magazine Wallpaper. Many famous designers from around the world will take part in the exhibition.

The exhibition will run until March 2.
